| Mayor's Christmas Card Contest |
Each year, the Mayor and his office look forward to receiving submissions from creative Barrie residents. Photographs, paintings, drawings and other 2D art will be considered. The subject (art) should be suitable for use as a Christmas card and should depict a city of Barrie scene or event. The minimum recommended size for the artwork is 4" x 6", and the maximum size is 8" x 10". The winning entrant will receive a prize of $600. Submission deadline: Friday, November 28 at 4:30 PM

| Call for Local Adjudicator - 2026 Arts & Culture Investment Program |
The City of Barrie is seeking a local to Barrie and area adjudicator to serve on the five-person selection panel that will review applications submitted by local not-for-profit arts organizations in the Operating, Project, and Capacity Building Categories for the Arts & Culture Investment Program. The adjudication period will take place from mid-January to mid-February with a virtual meeting scheduled for 1.5-2 days in early March. Adjudicators are compensated for their time. Program details are available on the City of Barrie website - the 2026 program launches later this month. The City of Barrie is committed to equity and inclusion. We welcome and encourage applications from all qualified individuals.
