Celebrating 15 Years of Culture Days! | Culture Days programs invite the public to show appreciation for arts and culture in their own communities and nationwide. Each year, the City of Barrie supports our local network of arts, culture, and heritage organizers to facilitate free public events in our community.

Seeds to Sow Temporary Public Art Exhibition | Please join us on Saturday, September 28 as we celebrate the launch of Seeds to Sow, a temporary exhibition of public art in Barrie. Selected artists Amy Bagshaw, Adrian Blackwell, Ted Fullerton, Lisa Hirmer, Native Art Department International, and Lou Sheppard have created new works drawing inspiration from Barrie’s local ecologies, history, and stories. Six site-specific installations by these regional and nationally recognized artists will change Barrie’s landscape for six weeks.

Exciting news for Barrie! Music Day in Canada is coming to The Rec Room on September 28th. This is your chance to enjoy live performances from some of the best artists in the country, meet special guests, and take part in fun contests. Plus, $1 from every ticket sold goes to support youth mental health initiatives through United Way. Tickets are $15 ($10 in advance).
