Each year, the City of Barrie is proud to celebrate Culture Days, a Canada-wide celebration designed to catalyze and inspire public participation in arts and culture. Culture Days programs invite the public to show appreciation for arts and culture in their own communities and nationwide. The Culture Days organization supports a Canada-wide network of arts, culture, and heritage organizers to facilitate free public events in their communities every year. Culture Days 2025 takes place from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, October 12, delivering three glorious weeks of colour, creativity and community. Doors Open Barrie showcases the history and architecture of our city and celebrates some of the places that make our city special. Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Visit 19+ sites, including those that are artistic, heritage, unique, and usually not open for visitors to go behind the scenes and learn. New this year, Doors Open is partnering with Culture Days to offer free, hands-on arts and culture experiences at select Doors Open sites! | | |

The Downtown Barrie Business Association presents Brett Kissel for the final Troubadour Festival free concert of the season! Before Brett, enjoy a local openers showcase, and all day, you can take in the downtown Barrie Culture Crawl, featuring artisans, vendors, performing artists, arts organizations, patios, and more! The festivities kick off at 10 AM along Dunlop Street, which is closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event. | | |
